How To Change Tomcat Port Number On Redhat/Cent0s 7

Here We’re going to show you how to change default Tomcat port number on server By Default Tomcat Server runs on 8080 If you want to run Tomcat on another port, It can be changed.

Check Out : Tomcat SetClasspath

Check Out : Install Tomcat 9

Go to the location where tomcat is installed.

Cd /opt/tomcat9/apache-tomcat-9.0.12/conf/

And look for Server.xml file

find connector

By default port is listening on 8080 we’re going to change it to 9090

Now restart the tomcat server,

./shutdown.sh && ./startup.sh

Also add changed port in firewall,

firewall-cmd –permanent –add-port=9090/tcp

firewall-cmd –reload

Go to the browser and try to access with port 9090

As you can see Tomcat is running with port 9090
