Apache is an open source web server available free in today’s costly world. It’s most widely used web server in today’s all over the world. It’s secure, scalability and better performance among other web server.

Now check whether apache is installed or not on Ubuntu by command dpkg –get-selections | grep apache2

In Ubuntu, we know it as apache2 package name and currently is not installed on Ubuntu machine.

Now install Apache

Command is   apt-get install apache2 –y

Now see what packages has been installed

Start the service

Check Status

Configuration files are located at /etc/apache2/

Now go to the browser to check whether it’s working or not and type localhost

As you can see we have got an output this means it’s working fine.
