Error Locate Command Not Found, this is basically used to find the files in Linux. This works very well when you’re not sure where is the file located of any packages.

This is a utility which helps you to find files with a specific word and It uses the one or more database by the updatedb program.

find error locate

Find the Package name :

yum whatprovides locate

mlocate package found

This package mlocate-0.26-8.el7.x86_64 is responsible to run the locate command.

Install the Package

yum install mlocate-0.26-8.el7.x86_64 -y

mlocate command run

Note : Don’t forgot to update the database using updatedb.

locate kibana
