How To Install APM Server In Elasticsearch Elk Stack
How to install APM, this receives data from an agent and then transform them into Elasticsearch documents. Find the APM server configuration file located at /etc/apm-server and start APM server services. So, this also provides you the log file for APM-server. Nest step is to configure APM server.log file for apm-server
This works together with Elasticsearch and Kibana. This is responsible for collecting the performance data and send back to its server and you need to install its agent on the server So, where you want to monitor your application using this module.
With the help of APM-server, you can monitor your java, ruby, PHP based applications and more. you can install this server on the same instance of Elasticsearch and if you want, you can install on the different instance but you need to make connectivity between them.
Install the Repository,
Step 1: So, download the APM server from this link.

Step 2: Download the install Public Signing key, configure apm server
rpm --import https://packages.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch yum install apm-server-7.1.1-x86_64.rpm -y
Step 3: So, Now make changes in apm-server.yml
APM Server IP address
Step 4: Start Service and Enable APM server service
systemctl start apm-server && systemctl enable apm-server

Step 6: If you require, Add ports in firewall,
firewall-cmd --permanent –add-port=8200/tcp firewall-cmd –reload
