Install of Elasticsearch ELK Repo In Linux

ELK Stack is a blend of three Open Source ventures: Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana dependent on Java. Get the step of an install of Elasticsearch ELK using a repository. if you’re unable to connect to Elasticsearch and follow the step to configure Elasticsearch on centos. you can install elk on Ubuntu using repository or with the downloaded package

Note: You must have Java installed and Path should be configured & don’t run Elasticsearch with a Root User and With Elasticsearch, this provides features like Security, Alerting, Reporting, Monitoring, Graph, Machine Learning, Elasticsearch SQL and Canvas.

So, you can download Elasticseach From here

Step 1: Install Java

Check Out : Install Java 8

sudo rpm -ivh jdk-12_linux-x64_bin.rpm

Install of Elasticsearch ELK

Step 2: Add Elasticsearch repository

Check Out : Configuration Settings of Elasticsearch Before Installing

Create a Repo file in vim /etc/yum.repos.d/elastic.repo

install elk centos

After adding the repository, run below commands

sudo yum clean all & yum makecache fast && yum repolist

Install Elasticsearch 

sudo yum install elasticsearch -y

So, Verify it by rpm -qa elasticsearch

 unable to connect to elasticsearch

Step 3: Start Services and daemon for Elasticsearch

sudo systemctl daemon-reload

sudo systemctl start elasticsearch && systemctl enable elasticsearch

configure elasticsearch centos

Step 4: Now Add Ports in firewall to allow external traffic,

sudo firewall-cmd –permanent –add-port=9200/tcp && sudo firewall-cmd –permanent –add-port=9300/tcp && sudo firewall-cmd –-reload

elk service start

Step 5: now check whether it’s running or not.

sudo GET “192.168.185.143:9200”

Else

http://192.168.185.143:9200

install elasticsearch 7 ubuntu
