Step To Install Erlang Package On CentOS/Redhat 7

Step to install Erlang centos is an open-source programming language used to build massively scalable, soft real-time systems with requirements on high availability. This run-time system has built-in support for distribution, concurrency and fault tolerance. This rabbitmq erlang should be installed to work together and start rabbitmq server. Now erlang configures with rabbitmq.

Erlang used in big companies like Facebook, amazon, yahoo, Motorola, and Ericsson. when you will be installing rabbitmq on the Linux machine so erlang should be installed. 

you can either use repository or manual download to install with rabbitmq to work together. Erlang designed for soft real-time applications where you need to handle connections or routing for very large numbers of users and RabbitMQ also written in Erlang.   

Step 1: Setup a yum repository and also install epel-release for extra packages. You can install these by running the below commands.

yum install epel-release -y start rabbitmq server

wget https://packages.erlang-solutions.com/erlang-solutions-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

rpm -Uvh erlang-solutions-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

Step 2: Installation of Erlang

yum install erlang -y

An alternative way to installation of complete packages.

yum install esl-erlang

Step 3: Check which version installed rabbitmq erlang

erl

start rabbitmq server
