In this article, we’re going to install java version 8 on RedHat with the
help of rpm package downloaded from Oracle official sites

Step 1: Package Namejdk-8u171-linux-x64.rpm and version is jdk1.8.0_171

Installing java rpm

rpm -ivh jdk-8u171-linux-x64.rpm

or with yum repository

yum install java* -y

Step 2: Check what are the dependencies installed along with these packages

rpm –qa java*

Step To Install Java

Go to the location where java installed.

ls /usr/java/

java –version

Now java installed on your Server and you can also see there would JRE package installed as well.
