Step To Install Mariadb 10 Database Server

Today i will show you, step to install mariadb 10 in Linux using the repository. This is an open source RDBMS server. By default, mariadb database 5.5 version will be available in Linux without any separate  repository.

If you require to install the latest version 10.x, you need to have a repository for it. you may download this from official Mariadb Site.

Download the repository from here

Create a repository file in

vim /etc/yum.repos.d/mariadb.repo

run the below commands

yum clean all && yum repolist

Now install the mariadb 10

yum install mariadb mariadb-server -y

Start and Enable the Service

systemctl start mariadb && systemctl enable mariadb

You can see mariadb 10.3 database installed on CentOS 7.
