python –version

Step 1: Run the below command to keep your system up to date.

sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

After system up-gradation, you can simply try,

sudo apt-get install python3.7

if the above command works for you, it’s better otherwise we have another method to install it.

Step 2: You can use deadsnakes PPA repository.

Run the following commands

sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa
Now install python,
sudo apt-get install python3.7

For Fedora Linux,

sudo dnf install python3.7
