Step To Setup SSH Warning “Login Banner”

Step To Setup SSH Warning login Banner is nothing just a warning message or displays some message about the device. If you try to log in to the remote machine, you can set some messages before login the device. we can print or change the welcome banner message in the Linux terminal.

This can be useful in the organization when you provide the ssh login to their users. So, if anything happens wrong, it will be their responsibilities and later you can identify them.

When you set the message in the configuration file under the ssh directory. you can create a new file then define in the configuration, so it will read the file when someone login the machine remotely using ssh.

Create a file under /etc directory

vim /etc/myban

Setup SSH Warning login

Type some authorized message here in this file

Go to /etc/ssh/sshd_config file to set this banner path.
